The January workshop was a wonderful four days, with an exciting group of painters. I think all will agree that the energy, the development in new directions, the beautiful workshop space, the catered lunches, everything, really, was just great. The March workshop is filled, with a few individuals on the wait list. More workshops are planned for 2012, dates to come. ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS

Learn to trust yourself in ‘Direct Painting’

What is ‘Direct Painting’? Direct Painting has been characterized as bold,
expressive brushwork and a painterly, atmospheric surface. Direct Painting
is also, in these workshops, painting from your core.

Have you ever wanted to paint more intuitively, with flow, freedom and ease
of expression, within a solid design framework?

You'll be learning and practicing specific ways doing these things in the workshops.

Each day will unfold with presentation, painting demonstration, and plenty of one on one engagment with the instructor in order to address individual needs.

The flexible format will also accomodate those who are looking to use the workshops as an ongoing class.

If you have some painting experience and the will to grow and learn, you'll do fine in this workshop. Experienced painters will be asked to take their work to a new level. One on one interaction with the instructor will address your particular needs and interests as a painter.
